Turkey Dogs with Mole Cream & Nopales Relish

Ingredients

For this delicious recipe, we will need the following ingredients:

½ cup FUD® Crema Salvadoreña Salvadoran Style Cream

8 FUD® Jumbo Turkey Franks

½ cup Fresco Tradicional Mexican Style Crumbling Cheese, crumbled

1 jalapeño pepper, finely chopped

1 cup drained, rinsed and finely chopped nopalitos (tender cactus)

2/3 cup finely chopped white onion

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

¼ cup mole sauce

8 hot dog buns

¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

It ‘s time to cook! Follow the instructions below and enjoy the process:

Prepare Nopales Relish: Prepare outdoor grill for direct grilling over medium heat. In small saucepan, heat all ingredients and ½ cup water to a simmer over medium heat; cook 12 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Makes about 1½ cups.

Prepare Mole Cream: In small bowl, whisk cream and mole sauce. Makes about ¾ cup.

Prepare Turkey Dogs: Place franks on hot grill rack; cook 8 minutes or until grill marks appear, turning occasionally. Grill buns, cut side down, 1½ minutes or until lightly charred. Serve franks in buns topped with relish, mole cream, cheese and cilantro.
